Abstract

The phenomenon of non-psychotic denial of pregnancy is recognized when a woman does not know she is pregnant during a great part of her pregnancy, or even until labor. This article has as its aim to present a bibliographic research about the phenomenon of non-psychotic denial of pregnancy, portraying worldwide scientific productions on this topic. From the search of productions about the phenomenon through data bases, we could identify the type of production, classification related to the objectives, as well as the authors and productions more cited in the references. We concluded that scientific articles represent 74% of the types of production. Classification based on the objectives revealed 25,8% of documentary research. The scientific article entitled "Denial of Pregnancy: Obstetrical aspects" of Brezinka et al. is characterized as the most cited production about the phenomenon of non-psychotic denial of pregnancy.
