Abstract

RUEDA, Fabián Javier Marín; SANTOS, Acácia Aparecida Angeli dos  and  LIMA, Robisom Carlos de. Relationship between job satisfaction and organizational climate: a study with employees. Bol. psicol [online]. 2012, vol.62, n.137, pp. 129-140. ISSN 0006-5943.

This study aimed to analyze the relationship between job satisfaction and the organizational climates using scales elaborated and validated in Brazil, and also to explore differences in the scores of the scale Clima Organizacional no Trabalho (CLIMOR) by comparing groups with high and low scores on the Escala de Satisfação no Trabalho (EST). The participants were 182 workers with ages ranging 18-58 years (M = 26.47, SD = 7.66). The results pointed to the existence of positive correlation coefficients, with magnitudes between 0.36 and 0.69, showing that the level of worker satisfaction interferes with the positive perception of the work environment. We found that compared in terms of levels of satisfaction (satisfied, unsatisfied or indifferent), those most satisfied with their work tend to assess the work environment more positively. These findings are congruent with the fundamentals of the constructs, as well as empirical data recovered in the literature
