Abstract

SILVA, Marlene Alves da. Unidimensionality study about R-1 test of nonverbal intelligence. Bol. psicol [online]. 2014, vol.64, n.140, pp. 91-103. ISSN 0006-5943.

This study aimed to verify the possibility of unidimensionality of R-1: Test of Nonverbal Intelligence when analyzed by the Rasch model through the principal residual component analyses. To accomplish this 409 candidates for acquisition, renewal, change of category and the addition of Driver's License were investigated when they participated of the psychological assessment at a clinic of DETRAN-BA. Among them, 306 (74.8%) were male and 103 were female, aged between 18 and 65 years (M = 29.79, SD = 10.64). The results for this sample, indexed above .50, confirmed the unidimensionality of the R-1 Test. It is suggested that further studies with different samples be performed to amplify the research
