The article intends to analyze the exhibition of violence by youth, particularly that related to conflicts between youth groups. In order to attain this we propose a reflection about the complexity of the phenomenon of violence through its semantical concepts and also about the impacts caused by youth figure restructuring into the contemporary society, sustaining the hypothesis that violence has turned to be a fundamental reference on the current forms of subjectivity. Finally, the article discusses several perspectives of school violence, such as the amplitude of the subject, the attempts to define the field making a critical analysis of the protective measures proposed to solve it
