It is a systematic review of the literature based on Brazilian publications dated from 2003 until 2013, consulting the following virtual libraries: Pepsic, SciELO, Bireme and CAPES data basis of theses summaries. The results showed the need to differentiate between the aforesaid method and other methods commonly used in Psychology. In addition, a special reference was also made to the increasing number of researches with non-clinical populations in several contexts using projective techniques and clinical reasoning for data analysis.
