Abstract

The present study tested the factorial validity of the Maslach Burnout Inventory - Human Services Survey version - in a sample of 155 Chilean social workers. Exploratory factor analysis confirmed the 3-factor structure indicated for the MBI-HSS by their authors. However, the configuration of the factor structure founded was different those proposed for the MBI-HSS for their authors. Internal consistencies of the subscales of the MBI-HSS were acceptable.
