Abstract

The aim of this work is to present different groups of sex and age personality characteristics from an argentine sample, from the observer’s perspective. This study is part of the International Project Personality Profiles of Cultures: Informant Ratings of Individuals and Nations (conducted by McCrae y Terracciano) which aim is to compare personality profiles across a variety of cultures. Participants. Participants were 181 observers form Buenos Aires Province/AR, with a mean age of 21 (SD = 3.42). Instrument. NEO Personality Inventory Revised Form R (Leibovich de Figueroa & Schmidt, 2005). Results. Differences in personality characteristics as a function of sex and age are presented. Results are analyzed from a transcultural perspective.
