This essay approaches Marcos Prado’s movie, Estamira, launched in 2006. The movie follows the life of a woman who looks at the world through her job in one landfill in Rio de Janeiro. We perceive in Estamira’s mouth the power of the word, her indignant to the violence that she suffered, but, over all, the power of creation and resistance of her testimonial. Art and Psychoanalysis meet at this point when they bet on the power of this narration that is addressed to the other as a way to reconfigure life.
