Abstract

This article takes back a link made through the symbols between Literature and Psychoanalisis. It uses the poem “Máscaras” (1920) by Paulo Menotti del Picchia, one of the founders of the Modern Art Week in 1922. The authoress goes through Commédia dell’art characters: Pierrot, Arlequim, Colombina, relating them to the woman, the choice of the object, desire, erotism and platonic love.
