Abstract

HOENISCH, Júlio César Diniz  and  CIRINO, Carlos da Silva. Neither identity, structure or personality: reflections on “subjectivity” and its impact on the contemporary psychoanalytic perspective. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2010, n.34, pp. 45-52. ISSN 0100-3437.

The following discusses the main use of the term subjectivity” in the psychoanalytic discourse, its philosophical origins in Michel Foucault and the contributions of Deleuze and Guattari to the clinic. It develops an analysis of the historical concept of subjectivity in the “psi field” and highlights the differences between subjectivity, identity, structure and personality. The authors write some topics about the term “subjectivity”, even though an epistemological discussion is necessary to clarify its use in psychoanalysis, without contradictions with the terms “identity”, “structure” or “personality.

Keywords : Identity; Structure; Personality; Subjectivity.
