Abstract

The article discusses the principles which guide the prevention of suicide, taking as a reference the project of the World Health Organization that deals with the subject. Noteworthy are the basis of vulnerability and the fact that it is not a voluntary act. Based on Freud and Lacan, it is noted that this approach to the theme reinforces the idea of not to wonder about the cause, a correlate way to wishing others well.
