Abstract

MELO, Henriqueta Lúcia Arcoverde. Experience of cure in the community: a contemporary demand. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2011, n.36, pp. 69-82. ISSN 0100-3437.

Based on the demands of the Ministry of Education which broadened the field of placement for Courses of Psychology, the Supervised Placement of the University Centre of João Pessoa - UNIPÊ, has been developing psychoanalytical practices with the impoverished population of a peripheral district of the city of João Pessoa. Despite the specificity of Psychoanalysis as an object of study and despite its specific method, an intimate articulation between psychoanalytical theory and practice based on work carried out in a crèche which attends children between the ages of six months and five years is thought to have been established. By playing with and looking after the children and adults involved in this practice, the training of students of psychology to work with impoverished communities and to assist in the construction of an environment sufficiently good as to facilitate the process of subjectivization of those involved appears to be a healthy measure. Fragments of psychoanalytical experience with children, with families and carers are presented. Commentaries are elaborated on the movements of transference.

Keywords : Supervised placement; Psychoanalytical experience; Crèche.
