The author carries out a historical and genealogical survey of the psychoanalytical institutes that preceded our institute, Rio Grande do Sul’s Psychoanalytical Society and the Brazilian Psychoanalytical Society, from Freud’s Wednesday’s group up to the present day. It talks only about the institutes directly related to us.
