This study aims to understand the pleasure principle and the reality principle, relating them to fairy tales. It is known that these are very complex concepts and they are studied with great frequency by psychologists, doctors and psychoanalysts, so at this point their definitions will not be deepened, being the focus of this study the relationship between these principles and fairy tales as a search for satisfaction of the subject and the relationship with the internal and external realities.
