When we say that something is worth, we have established a valuable relation, an equivalence. It means that something can be replaced or exchanged for something else that, being a penalty, is an equivalent punishment; a payment for something that, in love’s case, should be gratified and not penalized. So what is the penalty we pay for love? Is there a penalty for loving indeed? Law of love establishes a loss for the human being, because of prohibition of an enjoyment.
