Abstract

CECCARELLI, Paulo Roberto. Transexualities and discursive changes. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2017, n.47, pp. 83-89. ISSN 0100-3437.

The text brings reflections on the consequences of discursive changes of the last decades for the understanding of the sexualities. From the moment, the hegemonic discourse on the relations between sex, gender, desire and sexual practice began to be reassessed; expressions of sexuality that until then were considered pathological received another listening. The text focuses on transsexualities and recent movements of de-pathologization of trans identities. For the author, when psychoanalysts began to listen to the drive dynamics and identificatory movements that underlie trans identities, without theorizing them as a deviation, transsexualities came to be understood as just another manifestation of sexuality.

Keywords : Transexualities; Drive; Discursive changes.
