This paper discusses the future of psychoanalysis. It emphasizes the unpredictability and the historical character of our actions. The human being is usually treated as a thing in the current narcissistic world. In a psychoanalytic perspective, the survival of the subject is threatened. It is up to the psychoanalyst to build what he will do in the future.
