The present work proposes to address the issues of femininity, and its relation to motherhood in contemporary discourses. Through a reflection on how the imaginary of motherhood and the feminine position in the present days, the work intend to look on the new demands of women, and how it has placed itself before the femininity and the exercise of some functions of the feminine as the maternity with its challenges and implications to the own desire.
