Abstract

POLETTO, Adriana Antunes de Almeida. The metaphor’s learning in the childhood and your relationship with the dream construction. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2018, n.50, pp. 21-26. ISSN 0100-3437.

The present text relates the process of learning the metaphor still in childhood with the construction of the dream, by the psychoanalytic view. Metaphor is a cognitive process that develops with thought. In linguistics this learning happens from the moment the child is able to perceive the symbolic language, to relate to it, as well as to produce it. From this finding, the study points out the possibility that people who have an impoverished dream production is also due to the poor development of the metaphorical knowledge of the world seized in childhood.
