Abstract

FONSECA, Maria Carolina Bellico. Unconscious: yesterday, today and for ever (at least as long as we are talking beings). Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2018, n.50, pp. 95-100. ISSN 0100-3437.

The unconscious is the pillar on which the theoretical building of the psychoanalysis is founded. Freud, who has dedicated his life studying it and unraveling it, played an important role in the cases in which he has worked. The result has been a great success of many of these cases when he rid his patients of incomprehensible pain and suffering. But, we are in the twenty-first century, does the repressed subject of Freud’s time exists yet? At a time when the injunction to enjoyment is present, in which image becomes stronger than words, in which virtual is part of reality, can we still talk of being unconscious? This article proposes to analyze such questions from a brief theorizing about the concept of unconscious.

Keywords : Unconscious; Unconcious formations; Wish; Lack; Real unconcious.
