Resumen

ROCHA, Márcia Alves da. Bodies that speak: listening to unspeakable helplessness. Estud. psicanal. [online]. 2021, n.56, pp. 127-134. ISSN 0100-3437.

Freud told us that the ego is above all a bodily ego. Ferenczi told us that the organism begins to think when the psyche fails. Based on this premisse, the article ponders the attempts of soma to be listened, when the individual resorts to the body to communicate its unspeakable pains. According to McDougall, the body-theater-psychosomatic acts as a reflection of a wordless representation, as if the individual were an actor devoid of text for his representation. With those theoretical bases and other ones bases (such as: Balint, Fontes, Green, Khan, Kristeva and Winnicott) this paper presents clinical fragments in order to reflect on the importance of the analyst to be guided by sensorial, non-verbal communication, to get access of the psychic life of the patient

Palabras clave : Corporal ego; Corporal memory; Transference; Word representation; Thing representation; Soma; Transference.
