In the present paper the authors discuss a supervision of an analysand, where the supervisor focuses on the unbearable character of psychic life for this patient. The recognition of this situation is made tangible by the ambiguity testified by the analyst. We discuss the technical implications of this intervention in order to reflect on the "problem of psychical violence in its incidence on the condition of language in analyses", considered as metaphoric power that sustains the analytic situation.
