Abstract

SILVA, Luís Antônio de Oliveira  and  ALMEIDA, Mariângela Mendes de. Primitive states of mind: poem and polemics. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2007, vol.30, n.45, pp. 52-55. ISSN 0101-3106.

The authors present a poem, followed by a comment, in which the supposed voice of the primitive states of mind is enunciated, evoking possible analogies regarding the relations between our different levels of psychic functioning, between creator and reader, and between patient and analyst. The polemics about the presence or not of language (or its rudiments), within primitive states of mind, is raised.

Keywords : Primitive states of mind; Language; Reclamation; Supposing a subject.
