Starting from the typografics used in the Barack Obama’s campaign, the text compares the typeface Gotham (especially created for Obama’s campaign) and the history of Helvetic typeface, and presents the typographics as a pluralist, commercial and socio cultural signs, usually neglected by the lectors. Concludes that it is possible to all “amateurs” typographs to develop a visual language that takes advantage of the typographic element as in important point of the “how to say”.
