Abstract

RAMOS, Heloisa de Moraes  and  MALZYNER, Mirian. Psychoanalysis and mystery: the dream of Nick Bantock. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2009, vol.32, n.49, pp. 122-134. ISSN 0101-3106.

This article is based on the book Griffin & Sabine - an extraordinary correspondence. It presents some aspects of psychoanalytical practice related to the place of dreams, to the potential space and to the evocative and discursive forms of language. It also shows the affinities between dreams and all the other attempts to apprehend human phenomena through the artistic and mystic forms of expression. This article also approaches the question of the privacy of the self, the idea of mystery and of paradoxes.

Keywords : Dream; Presentational symbols; Potential space; Mystery.
