The text tries to reflect upon the implications of the changes that happened to love and sex in the establishment of the relationships. It rescues in a short way the historical and cultural coordination that have organized humans love life since modernity and its articulation with the mechanisms that build up a specific subjective character. The romantic literature is presented as a portrait of the exaltation of love and passion tragic destinies, as well as an uncommon debate about human sexuality, besides promoting the construction of successful and not successful encounters scenes, and love experiencers which present special sensations and pains that tend to colour human fantasies.
