The article considers the work of the painter Lucian Freud. Problematizes the theme "artist lifeartwork" questioning the figure of the author and the spectator's, as well as the contemporary meaning of the poetic of this artist, and the implications of the relationship between Lucian and Freud in the field of contemporary art in which the market mediation is essential.
