Abstract

CAZNOK, Yara Borges. Some secrets about listening to music. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2015, vol.38, n.60, pp. 127-138. ISSN 0101-3106.

Listening to music highlights dynamics of perception that, in everyday life, characterize some of the most creative ways to listen to the world. Opposite from the deciphering and establishing of meanings, listening to music brings about a proximity and an acceptance of the inherent opacity of discourse, the enigmas which terminate in a work and the idea that to listen is to interpret. Therefore, other professionals of listening - psychoanalysts, especially - can be interested in some aspects of listening to music described in this article. Pieces by Machaut, Bach and Schumann, among others are used as examples of plans whose structures arise from the idea of secret.

Keywords : Interpretation; Listening to music; Musical enigmas.
