Abstract

ZONANA, Raya Angel. Between the child and the adult, between the forest and the town. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2017, vol.40, n.64, pp. 169-183. ISSN 0101-3106.

A little Danish town is the set for The Hunt (Vinterberg, 2012). Among the many themes that the film suggests, the author focuses her particular psychoanalytical regard on a fundamental object of psychoanalysis: child sexuality, which emerges from the delicate exchanges between the adult and the child and persists in the adult's unconscious. The sociocultural environment in which these exchanges take place defines the psychological structure of the subject and, thus, of the community. With this in mind, the author observes that what exists of most intimate in each person contains in itself the uncanny - Das Unheimliche (Freud, 1919).

Keywords : Seduction; Fantasy; Child sexuality; Unconscious; Uncanny.
