Considering images, admonitory tales and historical-cultural situations related to the theme of envy, the author contextualizes her personal interest, talks about countertransferences induced by this theme and analyzes envy in the light of femininity. It justifies this preliminary exploration, both theoretical and personal, so that the reader has in mind the specific complexity of the subject.
