Abstract

ALVARES, Jurenice Picado. Vicissitudes in the development of psychosexuality in Lou Andréas-Salomé: the poetess of psychoanalysis. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.65, pp. 207-221. ISSN 0101-3106.

The author examines how was the development psychosexuality of Lou Andréas-Salomé, a writer and psychoanalyst, who, living with the patriarcal spirit of the time and the cosmopolitanism that marked the turn 19th-20th centuries, witnessed revolutionary movements in literature and arts. Her interest in human relationships, the female conditions as well as subjects such as love and eroticism, she ended up approaching Freud. In her contacts with the master, she preserved her own ideas, differing in theories about narcissism and femininity. Also was interlocutor of great thinkers, like Nietzsche, Rilke among others, playing her part on the whole history of her time. Let us remember that, at that time, women of liberal ideas, questioned their place and their role in various segments of society.
