Resumen

MULLER, Sara. Human displacements: Ai Weiwei's Odyssey. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2018, vol.40, n.66, pp. 71-74. ISSN 0101-3106.

The main focus of the text is to report Weiwei's involvement with the human crisis triggered by refugee displacements. From the work titled Odyssey we show as, after long research and travels, he narrates in an artistic language the current dislocations in the style of the ancient Greek and Egyptian drawings, juxtaposing times and spaces. Then we approach his work process, the diversity of themes and materials he uses, and his ability to interfere and communicate via different media that are available today. Concluding the text it is emphasized Weiwei as an activist.

Palabras clave : Ai Weiwei; Displacements; Odyssey; Time/ space; Multiplicity.
