Abstract

The article discusses the consequences of the sudden change from a multidimensional personal interaction, characteristic of the face-to-face contact with the other, to a bi-dimensional encounter that happens through the flat screens of celphones, tablets or personal computers. The starting point is the experience lived in the analysis of a child and the elaboration of this case as a thinking process about the feelings of passivity and impotence that people in social isolation is experiencing, due to the potential contamination by the virus and the threat that Brazilian democracy is facing because of a number of political and social events in Brazil.
