Abstract

CORREA, Flávio Rotta; FERRARI FILHO, Carlos Augusto; TOFANI, Ana Cristina Azambuja  and  BLOCHTEIN, Tatiana. Fernando Pessoa's rich and dramatic (internal) world. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.70, pp. 47-59. ISSN 0101-3106.

From Fernando Pessoa's prose, poems and letters, we have tried to understand the external and the internal dialogues of the author. Trying to penetrate on the exchanges between Fernando Pessoa and his heteronyms, we create a dialogue based on ideas from Freud, Klein, Winnicott, Fairbairn and Ogden, in a free and spontaneous way. The phenomena of personality dissociation is discussed through the study of the fruitful creative life of Fernando Pessoa, particularly his heteronyms. Could we have thought that for some creative individuals the use of art could constitute and effective sublimating exit? Focusing on the theory of object relations, the unique case of the relationship between Fernando Pessoa and his heteronyms is examined, which seems to confirm the hypothesis that narratives imagined as prose and verse would allow a certain adaptive re-accommodation to the drive game during the subjective constitution of the subject.

Keywords : Fernando Pessoa; Heteronyms; Internal subject relations.
