Abstract

LIMA, Isabel Castello Branco. The transitory as a destination. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.70, pp. 93-103. ISSN 0101-3106.

In "Nothing and our condition", Guimarães Rosa finds in the expression "just pretend" (fazer de conta), uttered by the protagonist, a prodigious form of construction of meaning that reveals the transitory character of the human being, in its tension of inherent transcendence. It is precisely around this doing (pretending) that the reading of the story is organized, finding sources of articulation and inspiration in Luiz Tatit's "transcendent recipient", Benedito Nune's "Rosian anthropology" made of "unfinished men", in Cristiane S. de Azevedo's character before the nothingness of human existence, as well as in D. W. Winnicott's concept of creativity and the conception of transience explored by S. Freud.

Keywords : Transitory; Creativity; Transcendence; Destiny; Death.
