Abstract

MULLER, Sara. Immersion: light, color, matter. Sketch of an experimental pictorial trajectory. Ide (São Paulo) [online]. 2020, vol.42, n.70, pp. 143-151. ISSN 0101-3106.

In the text I address t my journey as a visual artist, going through the various phases of my pictorial work. The internal coherence of this doing and how one thing leads to another are in evidence. The same questions accompany the development of the work over time: color, light, matter, space. The choice of watercolor and pigment to take advantage of the inherent luminosity of these materials. And later the use of mixed technique strikes to remove light from a dense, often dark matter. I also write about the experience as an art teacher and I quote from a conversation with the artist José Resende.

Keywords : Matter; Light; Color; Process; Relations; Materials; Painting.
