Abstract

The author takes his own personal experience in psychoanalysis to develop the vertex of Bion ideas on caesura, making links with the works of Homer and James Joyce through the character Ulysses. The poetical language inspires psychoanalytical interpretation seeking the deepest roots of emotional experience in the process of going away and going back, light and shadow, inside and outside, container and contained.
