Abstract

The aim of this paper is to elucidate why the Homeric Ulysses was James Joyce's chosen hero, allowing his Ulysses to engender a contrast between the mythic and the profane. As a sound benefit to psychoanalytical vertex, some colloquial examples of consciousness flow are given.
