Abstract

LEO, Aline de  and  VILHENA, Junia de. The corporal dimension of the psychic experience. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2010, vol.42, n.1, pp. 151-170. ISSN 0101-4838.

This article seeks to present the fundamental role of the interactions between the physical bodies of the mother and the baby for the configuration of self and object. According to Freud (1923), the self is, since its origin, a body self. Its foundation is the somatic experience that developed from the interaction with the social environment, which provides a significant symbolic matrix. In order present this point of view we have made use of authors such as Aulagnier, Anzieu, Dolto, Freud, Gil, Klein, Merleau-Ponty and Winnicott, among several others.

Keywords : body; mother-baby relationship; self; integration.
