Abstract

The text addresses important claims made by homosexuals in the hyper modernity: to get married, to adopt and to procreate. Psychoanalysis is the fundament for the reflections centered on gay male couples. There are major difficulties in social and legal field for these subjects in order to carry out the claims of affiliation and adoption without ignoring the difficulties of marriage. This may have favored a greater expression from these subjects, in comparison to lesbians, in the political struggle for social representation of homosexuality. Homosexual practices are discussed as ways of life that question the existing fictions in the Other, requiring then new legal fictions to order them.The text is finalized without tracing predictions for the future, concerning the consequences of this new situation, and mentioning the clinic of tolerance. Prudence without naivety recommends a necessary time to be able to say something about the effects of this new lifestyle by which homosexuals struggle.
