Abstract

FREITAS, Adelina Lima  and  RUDGE, Ana Maria. Superego between love and jouissance. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2011, vol.43, n.2, pp. 244-267. ISSN 0101-4838.

The text approaches the relationship among superego, love and jouissance. The Freudian proposal of Oedipal inheritance puts in prominence the renouncement to drive satisfaction for the love to the father. Freud describes the subject's maneuvers to guarantee the love of the superego, strategies that are not always successful. Lacan, from a certain moment on, abandons the Freudian proposal in relation to the father of the law and proposes the mandate "enjoy!" as the true superego imperative. He identifies among the current effects of the decline of the paternal imago, the rise of authoritarian leaders that favors the experience of the devastation of the subject for his submission to the Other who orders the incessant search for absolute satisfaction.

Keywords : superego; love; jouissance; leader.
