The author proposes a critical discussion concerning evaluating practices of scholarly productivity. In this way, he shows the opposition between the love relationship with knowledge averse to measurement's criteria, known by psychoanalysis in the clinical phenomenon of transfer, and the transformation of knowledge into a standardized commodity by a capitalist discourse structured by the refusal of a love dimension.
