Abstract

BREPOHL, Daniel Dias  and  DARRIBA, Vinicius Anciães. An irreducible uncanny in Freud's knowledge on psychosis. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2013, vol.45, n.1, pp. 75-89. ISSN 0101-4838.

The present paper examines Freud's efforts in theorizing psychosis. Thus, some of Freud's papers in which he focused on this subject or made any clear reference to it were selected. We focused on Freud's attempts to articulate to psychosis a knowledge that was built from the neurosis. The results are an oscillation between approaches and evidences of a irreducible difference. For this reason, we privilege Freud's notion of 'uncanny' as an operator in the analysis of his papers. This methodology aims to localize in Freud's papers not only the specificity of psychosis, but something of paradigmatic in the relationship between psychosis and psychoanalysis knowledge.

Keywords : psychoanalysis; psychosis; uncanny; knowledge.
