Resumen

CARVALHO, Glória Maria Monteiro de  y  GUERRA, Alba Gomes. Notes on the subject of psychoanalysis. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2013, vol.45, n.1, pp. 123-134. ISSN 0101-4838.

This article is an invitation to discuss the Lacanian assertion according to which the subject under psychoanalysis can only be the subject of science as originally conceived by Descartes. The subject of science and psychoanalysis places both fields into an inseparable relationship, notwithstanding antinomic. Thus, the subjectivity that science strives to suture could not be disregarded by psychoanalysis in its effort to show it. Psychoanalysis represents the notion of the subject as a function, and not as a bunch of qualities or properties. For the sake of illustration, a clinical case is presented.

Palabras clave : subject; function; psychoanalysis; science; Cartesian doubt.
