The present paper aims at establishing an homology between a theoretical act and a psychoanalytic one. It starts by acknowledging two modalities of relationship a text may maintain with truth: in the first one it is expected that the text will explain the true about the true. In the second, truth cannot be known and said in its totality. Then it demonstrates that, regarding the relationship with truth, both theoretical and psychoanalytic acts are made possible by the subjective position of the one who risks doing an act when taking a conceptual decision. It concludes by pointing that every theoretical and clinical progress in psychoanalysis entails a knowledge that is not aware of itself.
