Abstract
NETO, Fuad Kyrillos. The conflict among psychoanalysts and its occasional failure of the phallic fall. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2014, vol.46, n.1, pp. 64-80. ISSN 0101-4838.
Departing from a brief presentation of the historical trajectory of splitting in the psychoanalyst associations, this study intends to investigate the reasons to such ruptures. Based on Lacan's theory of the discourses and on his concept of desire, we can infer that the segregation may rise from the non- recognition by the pairs of psychoanalysts. It is a recognition refused by the other, supposed holder of the psychoanalytic knowledge, who puts him/herself in a phallic position due to his/her ascendancy in the psychoanalysis genealogy. We conclude that with such refuse, the pairs of psychoanalysts enunciate the psychoanalysis significant aiming to maintain the power of their institutions. We propose that the analyst's desires work as a basis to the brotherhood among analysts.
