The Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is in a specific set of characteristics that affect development in different ways, causing impairments mainly in the area of social skills. Individuals with autism usually have restricted patterns of activities, limited interests and stereotyped behaviors. Historically, the way to understand the ASD has changed at the level of causation, diagnosis and even treatment, psychoanalysis is one of the most influential theoretical and technical models. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between autism and psychoanalysis in Brazil the period of 2009 to 2014 bibliographic production has been estimated also describe the etiology of ASD, identify diagnostic parameters and rank the main forms of treatment from the perspective of psychoanalysis. The methodology adopted was the literature search and data were collected through systematic review of the available literature in national databases as Virtual Health Library - Psychology Brazil BVS-PSI, Bireme, Lilacs and SciELO, using the descriptor "autism and psychoanalysis "and" autism spectrum disorders and psychoanalysis". The results indicated that most of the articles refer to as multifactorial etiology, highlighting genetic, biological, psychological and relational. About the diagnosis, the article emphasizes the uniqueness and subjectivity of each subject and regarding the treatment emphasized the management of transfer as an appropriate technique. It was observed in the number of publications that diagnosis and treatment are geared mostly for children, drawing attention to the limited amount of publications dealing with adolescents and adults with ASD.
