Abstract

CARVALHO, Paloma Sá. Considerations about the role of the school mediator: the role of care. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2017, vol.49, n.2, pp. 234-257. ISSN 0101-4838.

The school inclusion project has as basic principle the incorporation of students with individual needs in regular education. From this comes the figure of the school mediator as a professional who assists the child in the process of affective and academic adaptation. However, asserting the right to education for all is not limited to simply applying the law indiscriminately to school situations. We need to think about this with a deeper understanding of the issue. The main objective of this article is to reflect, from a psychoanalytic perspective, on ethics of care, questioning means and strategies that allow the inclusion of children who need a more specific follow-up, as well as thinking about the difficulties and peculiarities that it implies.

Keywords : inclusion; caution; environment; mediation; Otherness.
