Abstract

GERBER, Keilah Freitas. Louis Althusser between the tombstone of silence and the testimony. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.50, n.1, pp. 194-214. ISSN 0101-4838.

Louis Althusser's narrative in The future lasts a long time (1992) interests for providing the testimony of his constant attempt to answer for the murder he had committed. He regards to be declared unfit to plead, he speaks as tomb stone of silence, a more violent punishment than any sentence could be. In order to get rid of it Althusser writes his fractured history by the encounter with the real. To assume the penalty of writing the testimony makes possible to move the stone of silence, liberating access to other paths, even it is not possible at all to remove it. Thereby, based on the narrative left by Althusser we propose in present the article to extract some elements to ponder the relation between Psychoanalysis and testimony.

Keywords : Psychoanalysis; trauma; testimony; Althusser.
