Abstract

CALZAVARA, Maria Gláucia Pires  and  VORCARO, Ângela Maria Resende. Effects of language incidence on the body of the autistic subject. Tempo psicanal. [online]. 2018, vol.50, n.2, pp. 31-50. ISSN 0101-4838.

Considering that the encounter with the language is determinant in the way of being of each one as subject, the objective of this article is to reflect on the effects in the body of the autistic subject in the encounter with the language. Firstly, we will deal with the constitution of the Self supported by Freud and Lacan, outlining the importance of the presence of the Other in its constitution. Next, we will deal with the constitution of a body, which differs from the organism by its inscription in the language and how the body in the autistic subject, despite being in the language, demonstrates that the symbolic dimension of the body is not a resource in every subject. Finally, we consider that a subject who can not rely on the symbolic protection marked by language can, in his/her own way and in a unique way, invent a way of being in the world.

Keywords : autism; body; language; treatment.
